“What do you want to be when you grow up?” It’s a common question that high school students get asked on a daily basis. However, most of high school students don’t know right away. As my junior year of high school came to an end and my senior year was fast approaching, I knew that I needed to figure out what I wanted to do for a career. I took several interest surveys that would tell me what I should be, but none of them jumped out at me. Finally one career path caught my interest. It was biomedical engineering. I decided to look into this more and soon decided that it was something that I wanted to pursue.
Soon after my decision, my senior year rolled around, and my senior project was fast approaching. I knew that I wanted to do my project on something related to biomedical engineering and settled on prosthetic devices. From there, my project took off and developed into a very complex piece made up of papers, posters, and an end product. I welcome you to my senior project portfolio and hope you enjoy reading about Human Bionics.
